Preface

IN THE CAVE is our second concept-album. We sketch a history of mankind as its pursuit of power and reflect critcally on the idea of an ultimate endgoal.

The underlying metaphor of the cave is borrowed by the image of Platon, which paints humans watching shadows on the cave wall, casted by a fire behind their back. They are tied up in a reality of appearance. But the wise man should strive for truth and break the chaines.

The album is structured around five worlds. In it, protagonists Timon as The Conqueror and Max as a Worker engage in a dialogue of power and oppression. Joshua an Narrator reveals that their opposition has been a game in the shadows of the past.  May they assemble to gain the wisdom to leave the cave. Is there hope for eternal peace?
